Hello! I'm Kinsey
I work to contribute to global fisheries resilience by researching the intersection of technology, cultural memory and cultural resource use. I strive for a place-based and people first collaborative approach to research which diversifies policy and offers prismatic solutions based on lived experience. I am currently developing my MA thesis on social communication systems and fishing methods amongst salmon fishermen through GIS seascape mapping and would be open to connecting with anyone with similar interests. Future projects and topics I plan to explore include; artificial intelligence in fisheries, combating illegal fishing with GIS and developing models for resilient small-scale fishing economies through stakeholder collaboration.
Regions of focus: Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Pacific Northwest, Alaska
